Out of a class of 45 students, five were absent, 30% of the remaining had failed to do homework. Find the number of students who did the homework.

Solution:Given Total student = 45

were five student absent then total student = 45 - 5 =40

According to question,

30% remaining had failed to do homework 

then,the number of student did the homework = (100 - 30)% x 40

                                                                          = 70% x 40

                                                                          = 70/100 x 40

                                                                          = 28

Therefore,the 28 students who did the homework.
