A potato seller sells 70% of the total potatoes and still has 150 kg potatoes left with him. Find the weight of potatoes he had originally.

Solution:Given Potato sells = 70%

            Remaining potato = 100 - 70 = 30%

Let the weight of original potato = X

then,30% x X = 150

    30/100 x X = 150

                   X = _150 x 100_

                                   30

                   X = 500 kg

Therefore,the weight of original potato 500 kg
