Solution:Given Total wall paint =240 sq.

                          Total wall surface = 48%

                    Let area of the wall = x

 According to question.

 Total wall surface x Area of the wall = Total wall paint

                    48% x X  = 240

                 48/100 x X = 240

                                X = _240 x 100_

                                               48

                                X = 500 sq ft.

Therefore,the area of the wall in 500 sq ft.
