A man purchased a cell phone for 2,000. By paying 200 more, he replaces its body Case). If he sells the cell phone for 2,500, find his profit or loss per cent.(7th class math)

solution:Given Cell phone Rs. = 2000
Pay more(he replaces its body case) Rs. = 200
Sell the cell phone Rs. = 2500
According to question,
Actual cost price(C P) of cell phone = 2000 + 200
                                                          = 2200 Rs.
S P > C P, then there is a gain or profit.
then,Profit = S P (sell price) - C P ( cost Price)
                  = 2500 - 2200
                  = 300 Rs.
Profit % = Profit/C P X 100
              = 300/2200 X 100
              = 150/11
              = 13.63 %
Therefore profit is 13.63%.
