From a rope of the length 40 metres, a man cuts some equal sized pieces. How many pieces can be cut if each piece is of 4/9 metres length?(7th class math).

Solution:        Given
Rope of Length = 40 metre,

Each piece cut Length = 4/9

                                    According to the problem given,

Equal size pieces = Rope of Length / Each piece cut Length
                                                                = _40__
                                                                      4/9
                                                                = 40 x 9/4

                                                                = 10 x 9

                                                                = 90 pieces.

                                     Therefore,Equal size pieces 90 pieces.
